Please pray for one of the Great Lakes District's affiliates, New Mom's Inc of Chicago, a shelter for homeless teen mothers. Tuesday night there was a fire at the shelter. The moms, children and staff are all safe, however the building has suffered extensive damage. Temporary housing is being used in the gymnasium at the Mission Home. The Red Cross has set up cots and food for the next couple days. Please pray for the moms and children. Many are extremely discouraged and they have been hit when they have just begun to see hope. Pray for God’s provision for them to be beyond what they could imagine and pray that they would see God’s love for them in the midst of their suffering. Specifically pray for strength and rest for three pregnant moms that are due within the next ten days as they deal with exhaustion/discomfort from parenting worries, uncertainty about material needs and housing, sleeping on cots, and all the noise that comes with having 30 women and children sleeping in the same room.
