Pastor Nathan Sauve
Senior Pastor
I came to ICEFC while doing my field education at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. I wanted to put my degree's emphasis on world religions and missions to practical use and figured this was a good opportunity to do just that. It was all part of the plan. From the first day at ICEFC I was welcomed with open arms into this loving body, and given the opportunity to minister to the second generation. ICEFC was in the midst of a pastoral search while I was here but never felt like this would be my home for very long, because as I told one senior member, "Aunty, I'm not Indian." That detail just about settled things for me. But God has bigger and different plans for us. After a lot of prayer and discussion with friends, family and professors I submitted my resume and was unanimously selected by the church to serve at ICEFC.
Since then I've had learned a great deal about pastoring and continue to learn as I seek to put both my own cultural tendencies and eastern perspectives up against Scripture to see how we can all be challenged in our assumptions in order to be conformed to the likeness of His Son (Romans 8:29) It is my hope that as we all study God's Word that our hearts would be transformed from self focused to others focused. It is my hope that we live out God's love to those who don't yet know Jesus, but also care for each other on a deep level as we face the trials and challenges of living for Christ in this crooked world.
To God be the glory,
Pastor Nate
